2016 S.A.U.C.E Retreat

On behalf of the University of Louisiana - Lafayette, the Department of Residential Life, the Department of Housing, & the Residence Hall Association (RHA) welcome you to your on campus home! We’re excited to meet you, and want to give you an opportunity to begin your leadership journey with RHA’s SAUCE Leadership Conference (Students Activating Unified Community Experiences)!

RHA and its Community Councils are students just like you who make up the residential student council for representation, leadership, and change within the residential communities. You can prepare for the upcoming year by learning the secret ingredients in your own SAUCE. By participating in the 2 day SAUCE Leadership Conference you will be able to take control of your leadership skills, get connected to UL, and become part of a new tradition on campus.

During the SAUCE Leadership Conference you will meet other on-campus residents, learn the ins and outs of RHA, and gain useful insight into living on campus at UL. The conference is FREE and includes housing, meals, and conference materials during those 3 days.

APPLY NOW for the inaugural SAUCE Leadership Conference by July 22. Your application does not mean that you are guaranteed a spot. We will only have 30 spots for the 1st SAUCE Leadership Conference.

We will notify applicants if they have been selected for the conference by July 25.

The retreat days conflict with SOUL Camp B dates. If you plan on attending both SOUL Camp and the retreat, you will need to attend either sections A or C of SOUL Camp. If you are already registered for sections A or C, you are fine!

The benefits of applying are the following:

• Move in on August 11th - 3 days prior to the official Move- In day to participate in the conference
• Make friends prior to school beginning.
• Develop leadership skills and learn about leadership opportunities
• Be part of the Move In day experience as a volunteer
• Being part of a new Residence and Housing tradition at UL.
